Alfredo Sauce

I just found the easiest Alfredo recipe.  I tried it on the teenage boys that come to my house for Friday Night Videos.  It was a big hit!!

Alfredo Sauce

1/2 C. Butter
2 C. Cream
2 C. Parmesan Cheese
1 Large Box Bowtie Pasta
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
(2 C. Chicken)
(2 C. Steamed Broccoli)
(1/4 C. Pesto Sauce from Costco)

Get a large pot of water boiling.  Put in bowtie pasta and let it boil for 11-12 minutes.   After pasta is done, drain in a colander.  Transfer the pasta to a large bowl.  Pour parmesan cheese on pasta.  Melt butter in a fry pan.  Get it nice an bubbly then add whipping cream.  Stir constantly until cream and butter are bubbling on sides.  Add 1 tsp. of salt and pepper to taste.  Add 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder if you like the taste.

Pour over pasta and cheese.  Stir vigorously.  Serve.  Serves 3-4 as a main dish.  More if a side dish.

Variations:  Next time, I will add chicken from a Costco roasted chicken and steamed broccoli

If you are a pesto lover, add 1/4 C. of pesto sauce from Costco.  Delicious!

I purchased the Lobster ravioli from Costco and pour the sauce over these as well.  Yum!
