Cranberry Salsa




Tis the season for beautiful cranberry salsa.  This is one of my favorite appetizers during the holidays.  I have a favorite friend where I work, who made this and brought it for a work party.  I loved it then and ever since.   Thanks for the recipe!

12 oz. fresh cranberries
1 jalepeno
1/2 bunch of cilantro
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 - 3/4 c. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
Tortilla chips

Put fresh cranberries, seeded and sliced jalapeno, cilantro, garlic salt and cumin in a food processor, or chop very, very small.  Put all ingredients in a refrigerator container and then add sugar.  Mix thoroughly, put a lid on it and place container in the refrigerator over night.  

When ready to serve, pour over an 8 oz. brick of cream cheese.
