Love a good cheeseburger, but you want to feed everyone instead of making individual burgers? This is the dish for you. This is a quick and easy dinner that adds a different twist on a standard fare.
The hamburger is elevated with tomato sauce, onions and Italian seasonings. It is a family favorite and everyone loves it.
The video below shows how to lay out the dough in case you get lost in my instructions.
How to Make Colossal Cheeseburger
2. When the onions are translucent , drain off the grease. This dish is going inside a pocket of crescent rolls. Keeping the liquid to a minimum is necessary for everything to be sealed inside the dough.
3. Add the tomato sauce and seasonings. The chili powder and Italian seasonings are hardly noticeable in each bite, but they had a depth of flavor to this dish. Let this meat mixture sit and cool a minute or two as you prepare the dough.
4. Separate the crescent rolls on the perforated lines and lay them out on a cooking sheet in a sunburst pattern. Spray the cooking sheet with vegetable oil before you lay out the pieces of dough.
6. Spoon the meat mixture over the dough and sprinkle on grated cheese. You can use any kind of cheese. Be brave and experiment with your favorite!
7. Fold up the pieces of dough over the meat and cheese mixture. There is a lot of dough on top of this cheeseburger. As you fold over the pieces, break off the pieces that overlap and throw them away. This creates less uncooked dough.
8. Seal as you go by pinching the dough pieces together.
9. Brush on a layer of milk and then sprinkle on sesame seeds.
10. Bake for 30 minutes. Everything is pretty brown at 20 minutes, but the dough on top is not cooked through. Lay on a piece of tin foil and cook it for another 10 minutes.
