Sometimes I think these are the best cookies in the world. For some reason, I do not feel as guilty eating them knowing how much oatmeal is in them.
No Bake Chocolate Cookies
1/2 C. Margarine or Butter
1/3 C. Cocoa
1/2 C. Peanut butter
2 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Milk
1/4 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 C. Rolled Oats
I have another recipe that reduces the margarine to 1/4 C. so if you want try it with less fat. I always find more fat, the better tasting.
Mix margarine, cocoa, peanut butter, sugar and milk in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat and boil for one minute. Put oatmeal in a large bowl. Add vanilla to cocoa mixture and pour over oatmeal. Mix until all oatmeal is covered. Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment paper placed on cookie sheets. Let cool or eat warm.
