Left Over Turkey Sandwich
If I ever open a restaurant, this turkey sandwich will be on my menu. It is so simple and so good! To be honest, I only cook turkey on Thanksgiving so I can have turkey sandwiches the next day.
How to Make the Perfect
Left Over Turkey Sandwich
1. Start with good bread. My favorite is Grandma Sycamore. It might not be available in your neighborhood, but I am sure you have a favorite bread.
2. Spread mayonnaise on both pieces of bread. I do not go crazy, but I put enough to cover the bread entirely. My husband does not like mayonnaise, but he loves these sandwiches!!
3. Put your left over turkey on one piece of bread. Break it apart so there are bite size pieces and the turkey looks shredded. This is a must!
4. Shake on some salt and pepper. Put enough on so you can see it on the turkey side.
5. Lay on several pieces of iceberg lettuce. Tear it apart so it fits perfectly on the sandwich and covers everything.
6. Put the other piece of bread on and slice it on the diagonal. I know it sounds, simple, but sometimes, simple is soooo goood!
Let me know on Instagram or Pinterest if you make this. Post a picture and then tag me @dinasdiner. I want to know how it turns out.
